so yeah... I know you had to have this "evaluation process" or whatever you call it, because of all the spammers, but do you really think it's worth it? we haven't had any new users for a long time and there are basically 10 people left here... the forum is dying! there is nothing new to discuss, no new points of view...
is there any way you could change the registration process back to normal or at least cut some of the required info?

We did that and there was an insane amount of spammers, but that's when you weren't here. We get more members when it's closer to a movie date.

Actually, I'm the one who looks at all the requested account activations, and they all have usernames like, "HotCamChat" and, "ClickHereForCleavage". Do you think people with these usernames would be valuable members? Uhm, no. Not unless you're a porn addict. So no, we can't lighten up on the registration process. And btw, if I see a normal looking activation request, I immediately activate it. I don't wait for that person to e-mail me. You aren't the only one hoping for new members. But the fact is, if we let this board be spammed up with porn links, and product ads like it has been in the past, we'll only be driving people away.

Also, you failed to mention that I made the board viewable to guests a couple months ago. Since then, we've had a few new members register, and that's great.

But the Twilight hype is over. I've been looking around at other Twilight forums, and many are in the same predicament. It just isn't an interesting topic anymore. I mean, even the regulars here are sick of it. Which is why we pretty much keep to the games section. So don't act like we're pushing potential new members away. The fact is, there aren't any to begin with.

guys, come ooon, you know I didn't mean it like that! I just thought about the time when there was no evaluation process and there were new people every day... I just assumed that the info required to register is what drives people away (and yeah, I know what to assume makes out of u and me  )

so yeah, I just had to ask... don't take it personally, I didn't want to offend you!
